Water tank External diameter: 20cm Internal diameter: 10cm Wall material: brass Base material: acrylic   Working fluid Water   Visualization The temperature distribution at the base of the water tank was made visible using liquid crystal sheet. The flow of the water was made visible using aluminium powder. The flow was filmed using a video camera.   Experimental Process The water tank was placed on the rotating table and a temperature difference was created using hot and cold water. The water temperature was controled using a thermo-module on the rotating table.
